On January 6, there was strong viewership by K-Drama audiences for programs that were previously impacted by year-end award shows.

The compelling legal tale of "Remember" continues to garner strong ratings, as the series broadcast its first episode of 2016. According to the statistics published by Nielsen Korea, the SBS series recorded 15.7 percent with its seventh episode, an increase of 2.3 percent.

Through its combination of tense courtroom showdowns and action-packed chase scenes, "Remember" appeals to fans of crime dramas and police procedurals.

While the romantic chemistry between Park Min Young and Yoo Seung Ho was eluded to in early episodes, the series has yet to explore their love line.

The seventh episode opened with a tense encounter between attorney Seo Jin Woo (Yoo Seung Ho) and his sworn adversary, Nam Gyoo Man (Nam Goong Min).

Jin Woo issues the threat that he will meet Gyoo Man in the courtroom, where he hopes to reveal the conglomerate heir as the actual murderer in a case involving Seo Jae Hyuk (Jeon Kwang Leol), his father.

The action of "Remember" reached a fever pitch when Jin Woo was framed and accused by the police of committing a crime after Gyoo Man approaches the detective who rigged the murder investigation against Jae Hyuk.

He becomes a fugitive and encounters prosecutor Lee In A (Park Min Young) in the hidden room of his office. In A previously revealed that the murder trial of his father has haunted her, but her loyalty to Jin Woo is tested when she encounters corrupt lawyer Park Dong Ho (Park Sung Woong).

Ratings for the KBS2 period drama, "The Merchant Gaekju 2015," continue to decrease, as viewership for "Remember" climbs. The episode recorded 9.8 percent in nationwide viewership.

Meanwhile, MBC's comedy, "Sweet Savage Family," recorded 4.2 Percent.
