The drama about a mysterious housekeeper who will do whatever her employers ask her to do earned first place this week. "Suspicious Housekeeper," which stars Choi Ji Woo and Lee Sung Jae, dropped 1.4 percent in the ratings but still achieved first place in Monday's ratings. In this quirky drama, a widower hires a housekeeper to care for his home and children but the family needs more than home cooked meals and clean laundry. The loss of their mother means the dysfunctional family is about to unravel and everyone needs to do something that only the suspicious housekeeper can help them achieve. The drama is a remake of a very popular Japanese series "Kasiefu No Mita," which achieved a remarkable 40 percent in the ratings when it aired in 2011.

What was surprising in this week's ratings was that "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji," which has placed third for several weeks, achieved second place with a rating of 9.3 percent. The 32-episode historical drama, starring Moon Geun Young, Lee Sang Yoon and Kim Bum, will reach its dramatic conclusion next week and the plot's acceleration is attracting interest. The drama plot focuses on the success of Korea's first female ceramic artist, Baek Pa Sun, who was captured by the Japanese. After weeks of exploring the importance of and the political intrigue surrounding ceramic art in the Joseon era, "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji" is now focused on the impending Japanese invasion. That's when the Japanese claimed Korea's ceramic art as its own.

In third place was the new drama "Future's Choice," starring Lee Dong Gun, Yoon Eun Hye and CNBLue's Jung Yong Hwa. In this drama, Yoon Eun Hye's future self decides to travel back in time to give herself career and relationship advice. Despite all the warnings she gets from her future self, a person's fated love is apparently hard to avoid. Yoon Eun Hye meets the man her future self told her to avoid and she winds up working with him. Her future self is not happy about this development.

That drama earned ratings of 8.5 percent in the ratings. One thing that the drama does have going for it is that the first and second male lead are not your standard characters. Yes, the first male lead is annoying but it's the second lead that's the heir, the secret Prince Charming, and he's not always a nice guy either. Who will Yoon Eun Hye choose? It's not that easy to tell, which tends to hold viewer interest.
