Ha Ji Won and Ju Jin Mo used their great acting background to open up the doors to "Empress Qi."
On the first episode of MBC Monday/Tuesday drama "Empress Qi" (Script Jang Young Chul Jung Gyun Soon, Script Han Hee Lee Sung Joon) broadcast on October 28th, actress Ha Ji Won becomes the empress of Won dynasty from the identity of a court maid and reflects on the past.
QI Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won) lost her mother at a young age and had to survive on her own. Ha Ji Won portrayed a tough charims and beautiful looks that showed how she grew up in a touch environment.
Ju Jin Mo was taken hostage to the Won Dyansty and became the Crown Prince Wang Yu of the Koreo Dynasty. His charismatic voice and tone as well as his solid acting skills showed the sadness of a small country that had a dissipated life.
The two were drawn to each other like magnets and had a fateful meeting as the first scenes of them having a drinking match had nothing romantic. However, Wang Yu had mistaken Qi Seung Nyang as a male and the natural touch between them showed that there would definitely be something longing between them in the future.
Wang Yu also showed a different side with him foregoing his dissipated life as a true Crown Prince of Koreo. He works sincerely to fight against the treason of Wang Ko (played by Lee Jae Yong).
The conflict between Yang Yu as the Crown Prince of Koreo and Qi Seung Nyang as the servant of Wang Ko was already foreshadowed. The romance and thrill between Ju Jin Mo and Ha Ji Won as well as the acting skills were enough to elevate expectations as the drama would progress.
