South Korean actress Gong Hyo Jin will be part of KBS 2TV's new drama "When the Camellia Blooms" and will take one of the lead roles.

Gong Hyo Jin then shared her expectation for the drama by stating, "There are lots of characters, but while I was going over the script, I was so curious about what would happen next.

And because the actors gave so much emotion to it while reading, it was a fresh new feeling." The actress added, "I actually can't stop myself from laughing at unexpected parts.

It makes me more thrilled and ready to work even harder. The drama has about all the different chords - heart-fluttering romance and comedy, as well as a thriller."

The casts then acted out comedic performances that are part of the script, which filled the room with laughter - also, the perfect chemistry between stars was seen during their acting.

Actress Go Doo Shim particularly grabbed everyone's attention with her use of a dialect, saying, "Why would you go at a man holding a knife? Gosh, you must be mad!"

Before everybody left the room, the cast surprised lead male actor Kang Ha Neul, giving a bouquet of flowers and a cake as a celebration for his military discharge.

"When the Camellia Blooms" is a romance drama that tells the realistic and passionate love stories of three couples. The director of the program is Cha Young Hoon, and the screenwriter is Im Sang Choon.

The main actors are Gong Hyo Jin, Kang Han Neul, Uhm Hye Ran, Son Dam Bi, Kim Ji Suk, Oh Jung Se, Go Doo Shim, Ji Yi Soo, and Kim Kang Hoon.

In this drama, Gong Hyo Jin returns to being the queen of romantic comedy. She will play the role of Dong Baek, who has never experienced being truly loved even once, but anyone would fall for her once they get to know her.

Kang Ha Neul would be Hyo Jin's partner who will act as Hwang Yong Shik, a man who is innocent and simple, but once he's interested in someone, he would never hesitate.

"When the Camellia Blooms" will air on September 18 at 10 p.m. KST.
