'Iron Family' ranked number one in viewership ratings following the finale of 'Love Next Door' last weekend.

'Iron Family' is about a family owning a laundry business and their daughter trying to live life to its fullest before her rare eye disease takes her vision completely. She meets the son of the area's richest family, and their complicated relationship begins. It stars Kim Jung Hyun, Keum Sae Rok, Choi Tae Joon, and Yang Hye Ji.

The black comedy airs Saturdays and Sundays at 8 PM KST on KBS2. The global audience can watch it on Kocowa and Viki.

Kim Jung Hyun has overcome a lot in his personal life. He came under fire in 2021 for his negative behavior toward his 'The Time' costar Girls' Generation member Seohyun and alleged controversial relationship with actress So Ye Ji, but he was later diagnosed with several disorders (anxiety, panic, depression) that affected his health. He has worked hard to reclaim his A-list star status, and fans are showing their support.

He even considers himself a "founding member" of his school's theater department. He told 'Esquire Korea' in 2021 what piqued his interest in acting.

"I was in the third year of middle school when I did some voice acting at a school festival," he said. "My friends would silently act out a scene and I would dub their dialogue. Everyone found it very funny, and that's when I first became interested. 'Is this that funny? What is this? What kind of work is this?'I never thought about the job of 'actor' before, but I became curious about what 'acting' is," he said, according to a 'Soompi' report.

He went on to say, "Our school didn't even have a theater department. We gathered some people and a teacher to form a club. I guess I could say that I was the founding member of our school's first theater department."
