A person who has intensely watched fifteen, twenty-five, or too many to count Korean dramas for sure has figured out the rules or patterns that every Korean drama has. For example, every Korean drama shows that sometime in the film, the leading female character will somehow trip and the male lead will catch her in slow motion.

Another pattern that Korean drama shows have is how the second male lead is extremely cute, attractive and kind to whom the main female lead will never choose. However, it is not such a bad thing for us K-drama addicts because we love us a cheesy, cliché yet cute romance drama. It is an exciting time for us Korean drama lovers because here to give us a novelty, a fresh way to digest Korean dramas is MBC's new drama called Love with Flaws.

Here are three reasons to watch this new drama:

1. It is a novelty

Love with flaws is not your typical romantic comedy that most of us watch every single day. The drama depicts a love story between two very different people. One of which is Lee Kang Woo, Ahn Jae Hyun, who plays a vain man who is addicted to his physical appearance and Joo Seo Yeon, playing Oh Yeon Seo, a woman who hates flower boys. A flower boy is a term used in Korean entertainment culture for a very long time. It is a word used to call boys with feminine features that are cute, well-groomed yet also very manly.

2. It is on an entirely different level of comedy

The conceited male lead, Lee Kang Woo, is obsessed with appearance. He takes so much time trying to look perfect all the time and he loves all the attention for himself. Lee Kang Woo's vain personality is often neutralized by his irritable bowel movement syndrome disorder, which makes the drama a hundred times funnier than the usual stories that Korean dramas portray. Seeing how both of the main characters do not like each other a lot, they argue a lot which is always a funny thing to watch.

3. It is playful yet also very romantic

What we do not know is that Lee Kang Woo has a secret. When he was young, he used to be fat and ugly and he got dumped by Oh Yeon Seo, who did not like ugly men at that time. So from then on, Lee Kang Woo started to look handsome and perfect all the time, obsessing with his appearance. Also, Oh Yeon Seo started hating handsome men or "Flower Boys" because of how his brothers were in fact "Flower boys" and she suffered hardships because of them. Low and behold, he becomes the chairman of the school she is working at. Because of this, despite the two characters arguing about everything, they eventually start to have feelings for each other and fall in love.

You can catch "Love with Flaws" every Wednesday and Thursday night at 8:55 p.m. KST. If you have not watched it yet, please do and comment on your opinions about the drama below.
