Last Monday night, JTBC's new drama "Diary of a Prosecutor" premiered with a rating of 5.0 percent. This has set the record for the highest first episode rating of a JTBC drama.
Diary of a Prosecutor has broken the record of 12 dramas that was formerly aired on JTBC this year 2019. It also broke the records of JTBC's past dramas such as "Man To Man" in the year 2017, "Life" in the year 2018 and "Something in the Rain" also in the year 2018.

The drama "Diary of A Prosecutor" very first episode rating is ranked as fifth overall in the year 2019. It is followed by tvN's "The Crowned Clown" with 5.7 percent, next is "Crash Landing on You" with 6.1 percent, then "Arthdal Chronicles" with 6.7 percent and "Hotel del Luna" with 7.3 percent.
With the achievement of this particular drama, marks another attainment and milestone for the network. JTBC has continued making a good name for itself since it has been showing good and high-quality Korean Drama that gets the attention of more and more viewers.
The network highly acclaimed drama titled "Sky Castle" that ended last February is still currently the highest-rated Korean Drama on the television in terms of peak ranking. This drama was also tagged by google as the top of Google's list of trending Korean TV shows of 2019.
The "Diary of a Prosecutor" tells the stories of the overworked prosecutor's daily lives in Seoul. A drama that describes the dull and boring daily routine of overworked prosecutors staying up late at night to discuss and investigate different cases handed over to them by the Police. Starring in this drama is Lee Sun-kyun of "My Mister" and Jung Ryeo-Won of "Wok of Love." Lee Sun Kyun is a local district prosecutor who doesn't have any ambitions in life and just contented on what he does on a daily basis. While on the other hand, Jung Rye-Won plays the role of an ace prosecutor doing her best in the central office of Seoul. But was transferred to a local branch where the two characters meet.
For the time being, tvN's Black Dog also premiered its first episode on Monday and acquired a 3.3 percent rating. The drama is starred by Seo Hyun-jin and Ra Mi-ran.
A total of 92 prime-time Korean dramas aired in the year of 2019, the last two of which were Diary Of A Prosecutor and Black Dog.
