Romantic Doctor Kim is a story about a doctor's life in a small hospital called Dol Dam Hospital. It is a story that revolves around the life of Kim Sa Bu (Han Suk Kyu), a genius doctor.
SBS drama Romantic Doctor Kim will be returning for its 2nd season and new stills have been released showing the cast and crew at their first script reading, which was done last September.
The all-embracing story of what it means to be a real doctor goes on in this new season with Han Seok-kyu redeeming his role as the unusual and cranky Teacher Kim. And he is still managing the wayward Doldam hospital in the countryside, together with his wacky and patriotic group of staff.
The upcoming season 2 of "Romantic Doctor Kim" will be showing some new faces in the cast with Lee Sung-Kyung to be playing the role of Cha Eun-Jae. In a very happy and cheerful mood, she has worked very hard to improve in her job as a currently second-year fellow specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery. There are some new faces in the cast with Lee Sung-Kyung (About) playing Cha Eun-Jae. Cheerful in disposition, she worked extremely hard to excel in her job and is currently a second-year fellow specializing in cardiothoracic surgery. Joining her as a new recruit at the Doldam hospital is Ahn Hyo-Seop (Abyss) who plays Seo Woo-jin. In contrast to Lee, Ahn is more derisive in personality and she is a second-year fellow in general surgery.
We are most delighted to hear the news that most of the original supporting cast will return in season 2. The passionate chief nurse Jin Kyung. The heartwarming nurse Kim Min-Jae and the weird administrator Im Won-hee are all returning for season 2. Yes, we also have our returning Doctors Yoon Na-Moo, Byun Woo-Min, and Choi Jin-Ho.
In addition, on the production side, both writer Kang Eun_kyung and Producing Director Yoo In-shik have worked together in the first season of the drama and will also be the writer and PD in season 2.
Just now SBS released some sneak peek of the shooting of "Romantic Doctor Kim" season 2. In the stills, it shows Kim Sa Bu observing Cha Eun Jae (Lee Sung Kyung) and Seo Woo-Jin (Ahn Hyo Seop) from the observation room of Geo Dae Hospital as they perform surgery.
With his sharp look, Kim Sa Bu keeps an eye on the two surgeons' every move as they focus on the responsibility given in front of them. Viewers are curious to find out if Kim Sa Bu will hire the two doctors and whether both Cha Eun Jae and Seo Woo-Jin will work with him at Dol Dam Hospital.
