On the 27th, JTBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Itaewon Class" released a character still photo of Park Seo Joon.

Based on original work of Daum Webtoon, "Itaewon Class" is a drama about the rebellion of youths who are stuck in an irrational world. In the small streets of Itaewon that seem to have compressed as a small world, they pursue freedom through their own values dynamically. It is the most anticipated drama in the first half of 2020 with actors including Park Seo Joon, Kim Da Mi, Yoo Jae Myung, and Kwon Nara.

This is also Park Seo Joon's comeback drama after taking a break for a year and six months. He comes back to the television screen as the unstoppable young man Park Sae Roy. He enters the street of Itaewon with angst and begins a new dream challenge. He started out with nothing his second phase of youth plays out with "Danbam Pocha," and attacks against the food industry's conglomerate, "Zhangga."

In the meantime, Park Seo Joon's webtoon visual, which perfectly mirrors Park Sae Roy, catches the viewers attention. In a dark photo on the streets, he stands in the middle with sparkling eyes. In another photo, Park Sae Roy's is seen laying down on the ground near the playground. Seo Joon's charming smile adds excitement to the viewers.

The actor also cited that the reason why he chose to participate in "Itaewon Class" is because of the character. Park Seo Joon said, "Park Sae Roy is the biggest reason why I decided to take part in this drama. I was very attracted to his character. He's a rebel who keeps his conviction. Also, this character is full of many charms. I haven't quite acted this way before, so this will be my chance to show a different side of me to the audience."

In addition, he firmly stated, "I want to live in a subjective manner without being swung by anyone and will make the audience feel satisfied. I will do my best to play the role of Sae Roy, which will hopefully meet the viewers' expectations."

Meanwhile, "Itaewon Class" is the first production drama by Showbox that has presented films that showed literacy value and popularity such as "Taxi Driver," "Assassination," and "Tunnel."

Kim Seong Yun, who was recognized for his sensational previous works through "Gourmi Green Moonlight" and "Discovery of Love," will be directing the drama and the original author Jo Kwang Jin will manage the script to captivate the audience's attention.

It is scheduled to broadcast on JTBC at 10:50 PM on January 31st KST.
