Park Shin Hye has successfully returned to the small screen with her new acting in SBS's Friday-Saturday drama, "Judge from Hell."

According to the data collected from the premiere, which aired on September 21, the drama series managed to receive notable viewership ratings, which surpassed the preceding drama, "Good Partner."

The drama is about Park's new character, Kang Bit-na, a devil, who is cast away in the human world because of a mistaken judgment in hell. She is tasked with killing ten insensitive murderers in a year and awakens a dead judge's body to help her.

Teaming up with detective Han Da-on, played by actor Kim Jae-young, the drama combines action and fantasy with good and evil as central elements.

The first episode of "Judge From Hell," which aired on the 21st, recorded 6.8% audience ratings, while the second episode on the 22nd garnered 9.3%. In comparison, the second part of SBS's legal office drama, 'Good Partner,' recorded 6.5% and 8.7% audience ratings in the second half.

The drama has received both positive and negative comments on social media. Some viewers praised the director's unique approach and the portrayal of tension and responsibilities.

However, Naver reported that others criticized the drama for its inappropriate portrayal of sensitive issues such as dating abuse and the glamorization of revenge.

One viewer commented, "Shouldn't it be glamorized when the victim kills the perpetrator?" Others pondered the writer's intentions and whether character development would occur through interactions with other characters.

The cast includes Park Shin Hye, Kim Jae Young, Kim In Kwon, Kim Ah Young, and other secondary role actors. The drama airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 PM.
