WARNING ALERT: There will be some spoilers for the 1st Episode below.

There is a newly opened bakery in a small neighborhood where Noh Mi Rae's (Lee Se Young) lives. The bakery quickly becomes famous that customers are lining up and are waiting for it to open every morning. The reason behind the popularity of this bakery was soon discovered by Mi Rae the reason is that the shop's bread has a mysterious power.

It is because the bake named Ha Do Woo played by Suho remembers and thinks of his deceased first love every morning while making his bread. His emotions are incorporated in the process of making his dough. While he bakes his bread, he is kneading his emotions into his pastries and thereby giving the bread their special properties. It's a bit intriguing, right?

Do Woo's character in this drama is restrained and aloof as we would expect from a person who has so much sorrow and longing adding up in his emotions. On the other hand, Mi Rae played by Lee Se Young character in this drama is a sweetheart, friendly to everyone and helpful to her neighbors in need. She is known as a "thick-skinned workaholic." She is very passionate about her job as a script-writer.

Mi Rae works in a broadcasting company where she has a boss that the employees have nicknamed "the witch." She was given the task to cover a baking competition show and was assigned to make Do Woo appear on it, but the baker has no intention in guesting on that show.

This drama "How Are You Bread" will truly provide a romantic tale and the first episode will be showing some of our favorite cheesy K-drama clichés like the oops-we-fell-on-top-of-each-other first meeting, but that doesn't mean that the plot of the drama will be uninteresting.

From the start of the first episode, it has shown a lot of emotional back-stories to consider. For example, Mi Rae has her dreams and frustrations, and Do Woo has his family traumas to cope with like his father's disappointment in him for baking Western-style bread rather than the family's traditional practice of making Korean rice cakes.

All in all what makes the storyline of this drama captivating is the characters, and their complex stories and emotional realities. The 1st Episode has already left us with so many questions like what's the sad story behind Do Woo's first love? Will Mi Rae convince Do Woo to join her baking show? And what do you think did Mi Rae wish for when she ate the "how are you bread," and what is the reason she cried?
