Park Hae Jin And Jo Bo Ah Talks About Being A Part Of KBS' Newly Released Drama “Forest”
"Forest" is a medical romance drama. It is about a man who is blessed with everything but a heart, and a woman who has lost everything but still has her heart. They met each other and discovered themselves and the secret behind a mysterious forest.
The main characters of the drama "Forest" shared some stories behind the casting of the characters, the filming and how they prepared for this drama.
This 29th of January there was a press conference that actor Park Hae Jin, actress Jo Bo Ah, producing director (PD) Oh Jung Rok attended. It was held at the Ramada by Wyndham Seoul Sindorim hotel.
The drama director Oh Jung Rok shared with the press that it was an honor for him that the project he worked hard to create last year is being aired on KBS. He continued on describing the drama that it says in the title but what we can think of the forest is as the third lead.
He said that this is a healing drama with a story to tell about how the main characters having their own pain heal each other and also themselves while living together in a forest.
The main cast of the drama shared their opinions behind joining this particular drama.
Actor Park Hae Jin announced that for him it was not easy choosing this project. The scenes are being taken in the mountains so he has to film away from the city of Seoul, South Korea. He has always wondered if he can be able to bring the story to life.
Then he gave thanks to the National Fire Agency that they were able to film the drama well. He then added that when he heard that the filming will take place in Gangwon Province, he paused and briefly thought if he should not do it.
Thinking about travel time alone will take at least five hours a day. Since the staff members are well organized when it comes to the schedule, the filming went smoothly despite his concerns.
Meanwhile, actress Jo Bo Ah accepted this project as her first doctor role. We will see a different side of her from her performance in "Baek Jong Won's Alley Restaurant."
She shared that she thinks he showed her same usual self in the variety show, but since in this drama she will be portrayed as a doctor she approached it with professionalism. She even met with plenty of doctors to ask for some advice regarding her role and worked very hard to become more serious.
Lastly, the director of the drama, PD Oh Kwang Rok explained the story behind the casting of actors. On Park Hae Jin, he stated that when he met the actor for casting, he was surprised by his charms. He added that the actor also experienced some painful moments like the character that he will be portraying in the drama.
He then continued that he doesn't have an idea of Jo Bo Ah's spectrum is innate or if she was born in a happy family but as he can see her spectrum is wide. We will experience her charms when we watch the drama.
KBS' drama "Forest" has already premiered last January 29 and is already available on Viki!
