3 Utterly Good K-Dramas That Deserve a Second Season

Tags

Currently, we think that it is a struggle to find some shows having more than one season that don't start to drag at some point. That is a reason why K-dramas can be so engaging. You will enter the world of appealing characters that get their stories introduced, developed and wrapped up in a nice little bow in one season.

Nevertheless, most of the time just one season can be too short and you really want to spend some more time with your favorite characters.

Well, here we have the K-dramas that we think deserve a second season.

Warning! There will be spoilers below.

Hwayugi

This drama will surely take your heart from the very first episode. The character of Jin Sun Mi portrayed by Oh Yeon So has to discover how to maneuver a world where the demons and the Gods are always at odds. Given a punishment by the Gods for releasing the immortal Son Oh Gong, portrayed by Lee Seung Gi, from his imprisonment, Jin Sun Mi has to bear the weight that the Gods have cursed her for being the one destined to save the world from impending doom.

The curse bestowed upon her makes her a target to the supernatural world as there are many demons and immortals who want to eat her for her power, including Son Oh Gong. But the gods have other plans from them and instead, she traps him with a geumggango and they are obliged to save the world together.

Well, of course all of this is made for the recipe for disaster and the drama comes to an end with Son Oh Gong rushing to the underworld to save the love of his life Jin Sun Mi. It'd be great to see the cast reprise their roles for more godly mischief and to see how Son Oh Gong braves the underworld to find his true love.

Suits

This drama is actually based on the U.S. show having the same title. "Suits" centers its story on the prestigious corporate lawyer named Choi Kang Seok, portrayed by Jang Dong Gun. He hired the undergrad college dropout named Go Yeon Woo, played by Park Hyung Sik, to be his accomplice at the law firm Kang and Ham.

Even though he does not have the right to legally practice law, Go Yeon Woo has an extraordinary ability. He has a photographic memory which is one of his strongest assets. They encounter many cases dealing with sexual assault, business contracts, class action suits, and have their own mock trials that reveal the inner relationships brewing inside the law firm. It would be appealing to watch how Yeon Woo's life continues to overlap with his mentor Kang Seok's in another season.

Hotel Del Luna

"Hotel Del Luna" tells the story about Goo Chan Sung, portrayed by Yeo Jin Goo, who is the manager of the Hotel Del Luna because of a previous deal that his father made with Jang Man Weol, portrayed by IU. Man Weol and Chan Sung started on the wrong foot and constantly disagreed as they worked on the important task of helping ghosts move on to the afterlife.

Since Man Weol is cursed with the job for thousands of years, Chan Sung eventually breaks down her barriers and finally, she moves onto the afterlife as well. It would be really great to see some sort of reincarnation plot for both characters to achieve their happy ending in another season.
