The battle of the weekend dramas is now getting even more aggressive! On June 27, the sweltering shows "Backstreet Rookie" and "King Maker: The Change of Destiny" both attained their highest viewership ratings yet!
According to Nielsen Korea, the episode four of SBS's "Backstreet Rookie" scored average nationwide ratings of 4.6 percent and 8.3 percent for its other two parts, which marked a major increase in viewership from its broadcast from the night before. It has also set a new personal record for the said drama.
On the other hand, the viewership ratings for TV Chosun's "King Maker: The Change of Destiny" soared to a new all-time high record. Its latest took home the crown for being the first placer in this designated time slot over all channels, including the public broadcast networks, which is quite very impressive for a cable drama.
The period drama scored an average nationwide rating of 6.3 percent. Good Job!
tvN's new romance drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" experienced a small dip in viewership ratings for its second episode. However, it still managed to pull it together and turns things around when it, fortunately, got an increase in ratings after broadcasting its third episode.
Nielsen Korea's result from the survey shows that the recent episode of the drama garnered a score of an average nationwide rating of 5.9 percent and a peak of 6.9 percent, making it the first placer in its time slot among all other cable channels, including public broadcast networks.
Another drama for the win is the OCN's action-comedy drama "Team Bulldog: Off-Duty Investigation! It also joyfully garnered a rise in viewership ratings with a score of an average nationwide rating of 2.9 percent for the evening.
Last but not least, the show that remained the most-watched drama of the Saturday night slot is the KBS 2TV's "Once Again," having the average nationwide ratings score of 23.6 percent and 28.0 percent for its two parts. Congratulations!
