There are times when conflicts or issues within a certain drama production can't be evaded. It's just how it works and everyone just needs to adjust from one another. May they be little disagreements between the production staff, the management, and the cast members, these small discrepancies are what forced the dramas below to stop their filming since the issue has gone out of hand.
We compiled a few Korean dramas involved in some unfortunate events that forced them to discontinue their production to resolve the issues first.
Chimera
Mystery crime drama Chimera was forced to pause their filming when it was made known that a scriptwriter was reportedly harassed by a staff member of the show and was also traumatized by a producer.
Once the issue was revealed, both the staff and the producer were immediately axed.
Return
The SBS drama Return took a hiatus from filming due to some conflict between Go Hyun Jung and the director. The actress eventually gave up the project because of the said conflict and the filming was paused for some time.
The actress's agency, later on, released their statement denying the issue of initial reports that the sudden dismissal was due to her physically assaulting director Joo. The agency defended the actress, stating that there was some verbal conflict, but the reports about physical abuse were not true at all.
Later on, the issue was resolved, and they continued filming. Actress Park Jin Hee replaced Go Hyun Jung for the role of Choi Ja Hye.
Wolf
The romance melodrama Wolf halted their filming after three episodes due to an unfortunate accident that the lead actor Eric and his co-star Han Ji Min was involved in. A source revealed that both actors sustained some injuries during the filming when they were hit by a stunt car.
Initially, the filming was supposed to continue after several months when the cast has already recovered from their injuries. However, constant postponement led to the drama's eventual cancellation.
20th Century Boy And Girl
This MBC drama reportedly postponed their filming because their production company went on a strike. The reason for the strike was to make the MBC network president resign from the position. It was disclosed that most of Korea's major broadcasting channels did not file some reports about Park Geun Hye's abuse of authority while she was still the president.
The said drama did not air as originally planned on September 24, 2017, and instead, it first aired on October 9, 2017.
Spy Myung Wol
This drama had to halt filming when the lead cast Han Ye Seul one day, did not show up for filming. She flew to the United States all of a sudden. Reports revealed that the reason she did this was because of pressure and too much working conditions for what the director made her do. The show took a break from filming, and Han Ye Seul eventually returned to South Korea to finish its filming.

Hi Bye, Mama was forced to halt their filming process when once of their staff member was reportedly showing signs and symptoms of COVID-19. When the staff was tested and had a negative result, they continued their filming.
