Kakao is one of the most visited sites in Korea and Japan. Kakao Talk is developed and operated by Kakao company - Kakao Corporation. It provides services, such as messaging, and has widened its reach through user-sharing information. It now has photos, free voice, and video calls, among others.

By statistics, it's known that over 97% of smartphone users in Korea are active users as shown on their website. Reportedly over 41 million are active users to date, making advertising on Kakao platforms valuable and effective.

Kakao M announced the late last year 2019 that the company is ready to enter the film industry by acquiring majority stakes in local production houses like Moonlight Film and Sanai Pictures. The company operates Daum web portal, streaming platforms for TV, music, and webtoons as well.

Kakao M is happy to advise to its consumers to expect newer things as they will expand its business horizons to film production from making TV drama and digital short series. Kakao M corporation is the entertainment division that handles South Korean tech giant Kakao corporation.

The company, with its talent management acquisitions including BH Entertainment (not Big Hit), which handles and works with Lee Byung Hun and Kim Go Eun, and Management Soop, who manage actor Gong Yoo, are looking forward to making new films and dramas.

They will soon release the following list on their newest platform that will showcase actors and plots from the webtoon platforms.

AMANZA

This is a story that tackles a 26-year-old man diagnosed with cancer and starts retreating into his imagination in search of miracles. It stars actors Ji Soo and Le Seol, and will be available in the last quarter of 2020.

Myeoneuragi

Though it doesn't have an English title, it is a feminist drama about hardships and determination that women face in life and community. It stars Park Ha Sun.

A story about young teenagers as they go through with love, friendship, and the life of a high school student, this drama stars Park Ji Hoon, Lee Ruby, and Kim Young Hoon. The cast already completed their scriptreading and filming, ready for the drama to be released soon.

A Love So Beautiful

The most awaited Korean remake of the Chinese drama "A Love So Beautiful" stars former X1's Kim Yohan, actress So Ju Yeon, and Yeo Hoe Hyun. It's a story of three high school students and the memories of growing up as a teenager.

Not Used To Thirty

After his recent discharge from the military, CNBLUE's Kang Minhyuk is back onscreen with new web drama with his leading actress Jung In Sun. The details of the drama is yet to be revealed.

City Couple's Way Of Love

Starring Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won, this new visual couple will grace us through a 12-episode drama, each of which is 25-minute long. They will begin filming in October and to premiere via Kakao TV. The producer-director of this upcoming drama is Park Shin Woo, the current PD of "It's Okay To Not Be Okay." It talks about life and love in the big city.
