Two Korean action and suspense dramas meet as the other series come to an end while the latter premieres with high ratings.
On August 17, the mystery drama of a parallel-universe setting starring Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin aired its series finale. The series gave satisfactory viewership ratings over the course of its 12 episodes. "Train" was OCN's original stories of parallel-universe mystery that offers new plot to its viewers.
According to Nielsen Korea the drama series reached an average nationwide rating of 1.4 percent. It gained positive reviews for its unique plot and the good chemistry of both lead actors.
Yoon Shi Yoon thanked his fans on August 16 prior to ist finale. It wasn't easy for him to play two roles in different settings but he was able to pull it through with the help of the staff, co-actors, and the viewers support. He was happy that he did all his best until the last filming of the drama.
While Kyung Soo Jin felt grateful to cast the drama as it holds new concepts and plot that will be remembered for a long time. Teh actress continued that though the drama is all about crime and investigation, what is more important is how the drama warms and touches the heart.
Forest of Secrets 2
The much awaited season 2 of "Forest Secrets" premiered with its top ratings on its time slot.
On August 15, the first episode of tvN's popular thriller drama "Forest of Secrets 2" starring Cho Seung Woo and Bae Doona.
According to Nielsen Korea, it reached an average of 9.1 percent and garnered up to 10.6 percent viewership. The first episode of season 2 surpassed the highest ratings achieved of the first season during its entire series run. It tops with 10 percent viewership scored for its first episode.
Furthermore, "Forest of Secrets 2" with its premiere ratings ranked as the second highest ratings of any Saturday-Sunday drama premiere in tvN history.
The viewers will enjoy the second season as it reunites the cold-hearted prosecutor Hwang Si Mok played by Cho Seung Woo and good-hearted police officer Han Yeo Jin played by Bae Donna. The two characters will tackle criminal and other major cases involving the police and the prosecutor's office on opposite sides.
The drama series is available on Netflix and is broadcast every Saturday-Sunday at 9:00 p.m. KST.
