Viewers in the United States will be able to enjoy the latest hit as the popular Korean webcomic "True Beauty" comes to life, exclusively on online streaming service Rakuten Viki, starting Dec. 2.
A live-action adaptation of the immensely popular webtoon - with more than five million followers - of the same title, "True Beauty" joins the ranks of other webtoons brought to life on Rakuten Viki: "Extra-Ordinary You," "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim," "My ID is Gangnam Beauty," "Her Private Life," and "Love Revolution."
"True Beauty" high school student Im Ju Yeong who rises to new social heights thanks to mastering the art of beauty make-up from YouTube tutorials. Now at the height of high school fame, she would rather die than get her secret revealed. No one knows the truth, except for Lee Su-ho - a seemingly cold guy, attractive and handsome, with a dark secret.
Actress Moon Ga-young ("EXO Next Door," "Mirror of the Witch") will lead the adaptation as Ju Yeong, with Astro member Cha Eun Woo to play Su Ho. Additionally, Park Yoo-na ("Sky Castle," "Hotel del Luna") and Hwang In Yeop ("The Tale of Nokdu," "18 Again") also stars in the upcoming Korean drama.

Rakuten subscribers can create private Watch Parties to share "True Beauty" with friends, enjoying the latest feature from the video streaming service that debuted last October. Others can also readily join public Watch Parties, which are scheduled programming sessions hosted by Rakuten Viki. These Watch Party features are currently available only to U.S.-based viewers, though other regions would soon enjoy these sessions.
