Actor Ahn Bo Hyun has received an offer to join alongside Kim Go Eun in the webtoon hit "Yumi's Cells."
As of March 10, the actor is in the final stage of accepting the role or not. They are currently in discussion to accept the role of Woong. According to a statement released by FN Entertainment, the actor is reviewing it in a positive manner.
A Brief Introduction about 'Yumi's Cells' and Ahn Bo Hyun Character in the Drama
This upcoming drama series is about a girl named Yumi, played by Kim Go Eun, who works in an advertising company. She a very reserved person who is not good at expressing her feelings.
She eventually falls in love, and her relationship with her colleagues somehow helped her grow to be better as a person and made her live a happy life. Through Yumi's cells, which have been controlling her every mood, thoughts, and action, these cells will eventually do anything for her to feel happy.
Ahn Bo Hyun was offered to portray the character of Woong. He is the best friend of Wook, who is a co-worker of Yumi in an advertising company. There is no rivalry between the two best friends since Wook confessed to liking a guy.
In the webtoon, Woong is a gaming nerd and a computer geek. The way he processes his thoughts is just through a yes or no flow chart. He may seem emotionless, yet he is very romantic though he may seem cold at times. He somehow ended falling in love with Yumi.
The two met when Wook set them up on a blind date. Of course, at first, Yumi and Woong didn't like each other's company, but eventually, the romance between the two started to blossom, and viewers will surely feel giddy.
Kim Go Eun has already confirmed to star as the main lead Yumi. And fans are hoping that Ahn Bo Hyun will soon accept the casting offer as well.
The upcoming drama initially plans to start production in the first half of 2021. Director Lee Sang Yeob will be helming this drama. Among his popular works are "The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang," "Familiar Wife," and "A Piece of Your Mind."
The drama will be co-written by Song Jae Jung, whose impressive portfolio includes tvN's "W" and Hyun Bin's hit series "Memories of the Alhambra," also joining her are screenwriters Kim Yoon Joo and Kim Kyung Ran in making the screenplay.

Ahn Bo Hyun's Humble Beginning as an Actor
Ahn Bo Hyun started his career in the entertainment industry as a model and eventually entered the began acting in the year 2014. From then on, he appeared in various drama series such as "Descendants of the Sun," "Dokgo Rewind," and "Her Private Life."
His role in JTBC's hit series "Itaewon Class" as Jang Geun-won is by far the biggest turning point in his acting career, wherein he won the Rising star actor of the year in the Brand of the Year Awards 2020.
He eventually got his first main role as Seo Do Gyun in MBC's "Kairos."
This promising actor surely has a lot to offer, and appearing in the upcoming webtoon adaption "Yumi's Cells" will surely be a great addition to his growing portfolio. After all, he is just 32 and looks appealing.
