"Navillera" episode 8 opens with even more heartbreaking scenes between Song Kang's character, Lee Chae Rok and Park In Hwan, who plays the 70-year-old Sim Deok Chul.

The recent episode delivered not just impactful and tear-jerker parts but also an impressive performance from the cast.

Lee Chae Rok Meets Sim Deok Chul's Family

Now that Chae Rok knew Mr. Sim's condition, he is worried that his Alzheimer's might get worse.

"Navillera" episode 8 presents the ballerino getting caught up in a hard situation - whether to tell his family about his illness or keep it to himself.

The 23-year-old wants to check if he was able to get to his home, so he visited Deok Chul's house. There he met his granddaughter Eun Ho (Hong Seung Hee) and invited him to go inside where the family celebrates the youngest son's birthday, Sim Seong Gwan (Jo Bok Rae.)

During this part, it was obvious that Chae-rok was moved by Deok-chul's family's kindness, especially his wife, Choi Hae Nam (Na Moon Hee), who treats him as if he is her grandchild.

Wise Words from Mr. Sim

The next day, Chae Rok is still torned about Mr. Sim's illness. After their ballet practice, Deok Chul invites him to a bathhouse. At first, he hesitated but caved into the 70-year-old's request.

This is a dramatic scene between the two as Deok Chul gets to know more about Chae Rok and his past.

He asked Mr. Sim if he and his father, Lee Mu Yeong (Cho Seong Ha), who just recently been released from prison, will be able to experience that kind of bonding.

On the other hand, Deok Chul reflects on a moment when he and his father used to visit a bathhouse. He told Chae Rok that his father also felt sorry about refraining him to do ballet.

There, the 70-year old mentioned that it was also similar to his situation and that his father also felt sorry for his wrongdoings and wasn't able to support Chae-Rok growing up.

Lee Chae Rok Helped Sim Deok Chul with His Memory through Dancing

"Navillera" episode 8 also showed how Sim Deok Chul's memory is slowly deteriorating.

After going to the practice, he asked Chae Rok that he will leave the studio to go back home due to Choi Hae Nam's health. However, this is only his excuse to visit his doctor for his appointment.

There, his doctor praised him for taking meticulous notes but gets honest that his memory is slowly fading.

A flashback of his happy memories with his family was seen even the first time he saw Chae Rok dancing at the studio.

As he walked home, he found himself struggling to find his way back and freezes in the middle of the sidewalk.

Chae Rok, who was waiting for him at the studio, got worried and called Mr. Sim's wife to check if he is at his home.

Choi Hae Nam answered and said that his husband has not come back since he left for practice. There, the ballerino began to worry and looked for him in key places.

The unexpected twist and turns unveil as Yang Ho Beom (Kim Kwon) called Chae-rok to inform him about Mr. Sim's location.

At the time, Yang Ho Beom also learned about Deok Chul's illness and felt sorry for him.

His group tried to help the 70-year-old but was seen by Chae Rok and thought they were bothering Mr. Sim.

Now that Ho Beom understands the situation, he told his friends to leave Chae-rok, and they all walk off.

During this scene, Chae Rok helped Deok Chul to get back his memory. He remembered a line from his notebook that says, "I don't know why but my memory came back after seeing his ballet."

To help him remember things, Chae Rok performs his ballet dance at the park. When he saw his ballet performance, a flashback of him entering the ballet studio came in. Thankfully he comes around and whispers Chae Rok's name.
