"Sweet Home" Season 2 is among the highly anticipated series this year. The thing is, Netflix has not even renewed the show for another installment. However, given all the cliffhangers left behind by the first season, it would be weird for it not to have a sequel.

This is why there are now some reports claiming that the second season would be announced this year, and even shown as well.

'Sweet Home' Season 2 Release Date and Possible Cast

Based on speculations, if "Sweet Home" season 2 would be announced, it might happen in the middle of the year. The actual dropping of the show might not be until December 2021, if there is an urgent need for it to show within the same year since the first season was only shown in December of 2020.

Similar to most shows over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has made the shooting of films and dramas so much more difficult than normal.

If Netflix gives "Sweet Home" Season 2 the green light, it is likely that majority of the cast, who remained alive at the end of Season 1, would reprise their roles. Unless the plot involves a lot of flashbacks, there is a huge possibility that those actor with dead characters in the first installment would make their return.

Song Kang will likely return to portray as Cha Hyun-Soo, whom viewers can describe as the center of the show. Other casts would include Lae Jin-Wook, Lee Si-Young, and Kim Nam-Hee. Lee Do-Hyun might join the cast as well.

'Sweet Home' Season 2 Possible Plot

Unless there is a massive twist, "Sweet Home" Season 2 will have to continue where Season 1 left off, as reported by Looper. It can be remembered that, during the final moments of the first season finale, Chan Hyon-soo wakes up to find himself having survived the hellish conditions in the apartment where they were locked in fighting monsters.

He realizes that he's in an armored vehicle being driven by Pyeon Sang-wook. Viewers were later shown that Pyeon Sang-Wook is actually Ui-myeong and has just adopted Sang-wook's form.

Given that such a big cliffhanger happened at the end of Season 1, it would be quite disappointing if Season 2 does not happen.

In addition, there were unanswered questions that a season 2 can answer. First of all, what will happen to Sang-Wook?

Another question is whether Lee Eun-hyuk is dead or alive. He was seen buried under the rubble of the apartment block. Will the military save the remaining survivor from turning into monsters?

"Sweet Home" Season 2 is likely to mean a new setting since the old one is supposedly left behind already.

For starters, "Sweet Home" is described as a fantasy horror drama that is a great choice for those who love thrillers over comedy or drama. They are likely to be the fans too of titles such as "The Walking Dead," "Lovecraft Country" and "The Strain."
