Aside from breathtaking love stories and surprising thriller series, Korean dramas are also known for capturing great friendships between opposite and same-gendered people. Over the past few years, there have been a handful of evening dramas that represent unlikely yet heartwarming connections despite age and gender.
With that being said, here are the 3 K-dramas that depict inspiring friendships that transcend through time.
'Navillera'
First on the list is "Navillera," which wrapped up the season with a positive response from the viewers.
The tvN drama stars Song Kang and Park In Hwan, who both portrayed ballet dancers, shared a different outlook on life.
In the drama, the "Sweet Home" star plays the role of the 23-year-old gifted ballerino Lee Chae Rok. Despite his impeccable skill and potential in dancing, his coach thinks that he lacks determination and focus.
All this changed when he met Sim Deok Chul, portrayed by veteran actor Park In Hwan.

"Navillera" showed how the 70-year-old is eager to pursue his dream to become a ballerino and was undeterred by his age and health condition.
Initially, Lee Chae Rok was cold and hesitant to teach Sim Deok Chul ballet, but later on, he realized that he is determined to learn and perform on stage. As they both trained the dance, the duo built a solid bromance and got each other's back no matter what.
Despite the challenges, including the 70-year-old's Alzheimer's condition, Lee Chae Rok was able to fulfill Sim Deok Chul's dream to perform at the gala. At the same time, the 23-year-old was able to pursue his dream to become a well-renowned ballerino.
'Start-Up'
Who would forget the term "team good boy" in the smash-hit series "Start-Up," starring Bae Suzy, Nam Joo Hyuk and the good boy himself, Kim Seon Ho?
The 34-year-old actor plays the role of the hotshot CEO Han Ji Pyeong.
Prior to becoming a young entrepreneur, he grew up in an orphanage; hence, his trust issues with other people.

During his high school years, he received help from Choi Won-deok, played by Kim Hae-Sook, and gave him a place to stay when he got nowhere to go.
Their unlikely friendship started when Halmoni (grandma) asked him to write letters to her granddaughter Seo Dal-mi, portrayed by Bae Suzy, who wanted her to have a new friend and the rest was history.
Despite their love-hate relationship Choi Won-deok affectionately calls him a good boy.
Years have passed, he met Halmoni, who owns a small stall and still sells corn dogs. He often visits her and treats him as his own grandmother. This is to pay back the good deed that she has done to him.
'When the Camellia Blooms'
In 2019, KBS released "When the Camellia Blooms," starring Gong Hyo Jin, who plays Oh Dong Baek and Kang Ha Neul as the local police Hwang Yong Shik.
Amid the duo's budding romance, Oh Dong Baek, who is also a single mother, built a certain connection with Kwak Duk Soon, portrayed by Go Doo Shim.
Since Oh Dong Baek was new to Ongsan, it was Mrs. Kwak who welcomed her with open arms despite the neighbors being harsh to her due to her status.
In the drama, Kwak Duk Soon, who happens to be Hwang Yong Shik's mother, shared that she can relate to Dong Baek because she raised her kids alone. This explained why the two shared a tight friendship despite their age gap.
