According to Nielsen Korea, "Hospital Playlist 2" episode 8 has amassed an average nationwide rating of 13.1 percent while 15.5 percent in the metropolitan area; this showed a massive increase from their previous 10.6 percent nationwide rating.
In addition, the target male and female audience also climb to a national average of 7.8 percent.

'Hospital Playlist 2' Episode 8 Recap: Ahn Jung Won's Mom Diagnosed with an Illness
The latest episode delivered notable reminders about the importance of family, highlighting the connection of 99ers to their parents.
In "Hospital Playlist 2" episode 8, Ahn Jung Won's (Yoo Yeon Seok) mother, Jung Ro Sa (Kim Hae Sook), was rushed to the hospital after she accidentally fell out of her bed.
In the emergency room, he was accompanied by Chae Song Hwa (Jeon Mi Do), Rosa's neurosurgeon.
Based on the test, she suspects that Ahn Jung Won's mom is suffering from hydrocephalus.
However, Rosa looked into the bright side and was thankful that it was not Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
Unfortunately, the situation made Jung Won feel guilty, and he thought he couldn't take care of his mother.
