Korean content has always been part of social media. May it be about music, movies, or dramas, everything that involves the Hallyu wave dominates the trend list, especially on Twitter.
On October 1, Head of Global K-Pop and K-content Partnerships at Twitter, Kim Yeon Jeong, introduced to the public the data insights with the theme of "#BeyondKpop: Globalization of K-Culture from Music to Drama, Webtoon, Movie, and beyond," included in the report was the list of top 20 most tweeted K-content.
Whenever there are upcoming movies, ongoing dramas, newly released music, and group comebacks, Twitter is the most used social media platform to spread the news. It has been at the center of global conversations.

In addition, the results gathered were conducted by Twitter and VAIV company through big data text mining techniques that analyzed global English Tweets from July 2018 to June 2021.
Almost 24/7, most of the fans are occupied by watching Kdramas. Apart from Kpop, dramas are the next big thing to enjoy their spare time or even make time just to watch the whole series.
The list are composed of the most mentioned Kdramas all across the globe:

2. "Itaewon Class"
3. "True Beauty"
4. "Vincenzo"
5. "Sky Castle"
6. "Hotel Del Luna"
7. "Start-Up"
8. "Hospital Playlist"
9. "Goblin"
10. "Penthouse"
11. "Vagabond"
12. "Sweet Home"
13. "Crash Landing on You"
14. "Voice"
15. "Love Alarm"
16. "It's Okay to Not Be Okay"
17. "Kairos"
18. "Arthdal Chronicles"
19. "Extracurricular"
20. "Stranger"
"True Beauty" and "Vincenzo" both include K-Pop stars, Cha Eun Woo from ASTRO and Ok Taecyeon from 2PM. Kdramas that have K-Pop idols on their cast have lots of chance to trend for it combines both of the most consumed K-contents worldwide.
Included in the report was the Twitter analysis of the word cloud for tweets mentioning Park Seo Joon's drama Itaewon Class. It was confirmed that most of the tweets about "Itaewon Class" mentioned the OST "Sweet Night" by BTS V. The word cloud also connected "Itaewon Class" to 11 other Kdramas in the first half of 2021.
This proves that the interest in "Itaewon Class" led the consumers to other Kdramas, making JTBC's "Itaewon Class" a critical influence for Korean content. In addition, Park Seo Joon, who led the megahit drama, is receiving a lot of recognition in Japan. Most of his series is the most-watched by Japanese fans. The Kdrama actor will also expand his career by making his much-awaited Hollywood debut with the American film "Captain Marvel 2: The Marvel."
