MBC's ongoing Kdrama "The Veil" has sold its copyrights to more than 20 countries, proving the increasing interest of the international audience.
Namgoong Min and Park Ha Sun's Kdrama 'The Veil' to Air in More than 20 Countries
Star News cited on October 9 that the Friday-Saturday series "The Veil" starring Namgoong Min, Park Ha Sun, and Kim Ji Eun will start to air in various countries as it was successfully sold to different regions across the globe, including the United States, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE, Mongolia, Vietnam, South Africa, and more.

Most of the Kdramas that were aired abroad have romantic and historical genres. But "The Veil" will be a new kind of series for it depicts Korea's special situation of the National Intelligence Service and the division of North and South Korea. The intense action scenes are being lauded by the viewers which also resulted in the drama becoming in demand overseas.
'The Veil's ' Production Worth of 15 Billion Won
"The Veil" is a special project for MBC's 60th anniversary and has a production cost of KRW 15 billion. The story of the series was the winner of the MBC Drama Screenplay Contest in 2018 and was given the chance to be adapted into a real show.
Director Kim Sung Yong praised the actors, especially Namgoong Min, for their hard work.
Action-thriller drama "The Veil" tells the story of a top field agent Han Ji Hyuk (Namgoong Min) in the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Ji Hyuk was involved in an incident which made his colleagues assume that he was already dead.
After a year, he returns to the organization to find the person behind the incident that had happened to him.
Aside from the fresh story concept, the actors involved in the drama put a lot of effort into portraying their characters. Lead actor Namgoong Min shared in the previous press conference of "The Veil" that he consistently worked out before the start of the filming.
He also stayed disciplined in maintaining his bulk figure. Meanwhile, Park Ha Sun made an impressive transformation for her role as Seo Soo Yeon, a fierce team leader of the National Intelligence Service Organization.
"The Veil" keeps on gaining positive reviews from the viewers and is consistent in receiving good viewership ratings since episode 1.
