Seo Kang Joon held a live broadcast on Instagram to give his fans a final update before he enlists to fulfill his mandatory military service.
The actor stated, "I'm going to fulfill my military duty, which every healthy Korean man must do. I wanted to say farewell before enlisting in the military soon."
As his live stream was held on the same day as the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) 2022, the actor also narrated his own experience taking the exam. He shared, "It's been exactly ten years since I did it. After it was over, I was relieved."
"I felt empty, too. The CSAT ends your elementary, middle, and high school life. I had a lot of concerns on what to do next. I also remember feeling regretful I did not prepare for it really well," he added.
He closed the topic with encouraging words, "The CSAT is not everything in life. Don't get too stressed over it and I hope you spend your 20s well."
The actor then talked about his new short haircut. Seo Kang Joon said he'd been wanting to cut his hair short but didn't have the opportunity.

When a fan commented, "Can you not go?" Seo Kang Joon sadly responded, "I would be in huge trouble if I don't go."
"I'm honestly scared and lost, but I'm getting quite comfortable now. I'm excited to know more people whom I will be with for one and a half years," Seo Kang Joon admitted.

According to the actor, he is a night owl. However, in the military, there is a fixed schedule that everyone needs to follow.
Seo Kang Joon commented, "I tried sleeping a bit earlier these days. I go to sleep at 2:00 a.m. now. I heard that the standard time to sleep is 10:00 p.m. in the military. I know I'll be able to adjust once I'm there."
When asked about his family, Seo Kang Joon jokingly said he wasn't going to bow to his parents so he wouldn't see them cry. He also added, "My sister who I don't really love is not home right now. We haven't been in touch often. I'll just text her before I go."
'Grid' and Seo Kang Joon's Other Projects Before He Enlists
To see an amazing actor enlist in the military is quite sad for the fans who will surely miss him. However, Seo Kang Joon will enlist after making sure he doesn't leave without something for his fans.
In October, Seo Kang Joon wrapped up filming his upcoming Disney+ television series "Grid," alongside Kim Ah Joong, Kim Moo Yeol, Kim Sung Kyun and Lee Si Young.
"Grid" is a mystery thriller that revolves around a police officer and a detective, uncovering the enthralling existence that saved humankind from an excruciating crisis.
Another one is his feel-good romance comedy movie, "Happy New Year," which is about two people who meet at an enigmatic hotel named Emros, wherein relationships are formed during the holidays. It is slated to air for the first time in December of 2021 in theaters.

Moreover, Seo Kang Joon ends his live by saying, "Please be healthy. I'm spending my late 20s in a new place. Since you're only your age once, live happily and do what you want in life. I will return healthy and well."
Seo Kang Joon is set to enlist on November 23 as an active duty soldier. Because of the threatening spread of COVID-19, there will be no official event. His enlistment location and time will not be disclosed to the public.
