The year 2021 delivered a wide array of interesting Kdramas from various genres; however, only "Vincenzo" and "Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 2" are included in the most popular cable series of all time.
In a report cited by a media outlet, an updated list of the top 10 highest rated Kdramas were revealed, with only two 2021 series being part of.
'The World of the Married'
Released in 2020, the series starring Kim Hee Ae, Park Hae Joon and Han So Hee top the list with 28.371 percent as its highest viewership rating.
The JTBC series is a Korean adaptation of the 2015 BBC One television series "Doctor Foster," which stars Suranne Jones, Bertie Carvel and Jodie Comer.
"The World of the Married," which depicts hatred, revenge and betrayal, became one of South Korea's record-smashing series due to its impressive cast lineup and a unique take on a revenge-driven wife.

After gaining the hype, the Kdrama landed on Netflix in August 2020, months after airing its finale.
Interestingly, it also has a Thai and Filipino adaptation titled "The Broken Marriage Vow."
'SKY Castle'
Following the JTBC series is the blockbuster makjang Kdrama "SKY Castle."
Before the Kdrama fandom was introduced to Joo Dan Tae and Cheon Seo Jin of "The Penthouse," everyone was obsessed with the families living in the affluent neighborhood known as the SKY Castle.
The mystery drama garnered the highest viewership rating of 23.779 percent according to the outlet.
'Crash Landing on You'
From Kdramas featuring mystery and revenge, the beloved rom-com "Crash Landing on You" ranks third, starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin.
The 2019 Kdrama achieved the recorded highest viewership rating of 21.683 percent. There's no doubt how it ended in third place because viewers witnessed BinJin's love affair blossom from reel to real.
'Reply 1988'
Landing at fourth place is "Reply 1988," starring Lee Hyeri, Park Bo Gum, Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Dong Hwi and more.
According to the media outlet, the coming of age series got 18.803 percent as its highest viewership rating.
'Goblin'
Capping off at the top five is Kim Go Eun and Gong Yoo's fantasy series "Goblin."
The fresh team-up of the duo and the chemistry of Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na made millions of hearts flutter, making the Kdrama achieve their highest viewership rating of 18.68 percent.
'Mr. Sunshine'
Ranking at sixth is the historical romance Kdrama "Mr. Sunshine."
With the star-studded cast including Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Ri, Kim Min Jung, Byun Yo Han and Yoo Yeon Seok, the tvN series has 18.129 percent as its personal best in viewership rating.
'Mr. Queen'
From one historical series from another, the Kdrama "Mr. Queen," which stars Shin Hye Sun, lands at seventh with 17.371 percent as its highest viewership rating.
'Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 2'
As mentioned, the 2021 Kdrama "Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 2" made it in eighth place with the highest viewership rating of 16.582 percent.
'Itaewon Class'
Interestingly, it is a close fight between Park Seo Joon and Kim da Mi's "Itaewon Class" after garnering a 16.548 percent highest viewership rating.
'Vincenzo'
Lastly, Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Been's comedy crime series "Vincenzo" ends at the top 10 Kdrama with the highest viewership rating after scoring 14.636 percent.
