If you've seen a K-Drama in the past decade or so, you've probably seen one starring the queen of rom-coms, Park Shin Hye. Earlier this year, the superstar actress tied the knot with fellow actor Choi Tae Joon in a dreamy January wedding. Now, the two have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
In a relationship since 2017, Park and Choi first announced that they were expecting back in November 2020. Park is best known for her roles in iconic K-Dramas, such as You're Beautiful and The Heirs, while Choi is perhaps best known for 2018 miniseries Exit.
In a statement released by Park's agency, SALT Entertainment, it was announced that the couple's child was born and that both the baby and the mother are healthy. The statement reads:
"Hello, this is SALT Entertainment.
Actress Park Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy boy today at a hospital in Seoul.
Currently, both Park Shin Hye and the baby boy are in good health and they are resting well with Choi Tae Joon and their family and friends.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of the people who have sent their congratulations and please continue to send your blessings and support to Park Shin Hye, Choi Tae Joon, and their baby boy.
Thank you."
Congratulations to the happy couple!
