Despite her brief appearance in her first drama "It's Okay, That's Love" in 2014, Lee Sung Kyung managed to establish herself as a star in the making. She played the character of a rebellious high schooler Oh Seo Nyo. Though she seems stubborn, Seo Nyo has her own charm that makes Park Soo Gwang (Lee Kwang Soo) fall for her.

"Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" is arguable Lee Sung Kyung's best dramas. This is where she made a strong impression as she portrayed the titular character, Kim Bok Joo, a university student-athlete who aims to be a professional weightlifter.
This K-drama gave Lee Sung Kyung and her co-star Nam Joo Hyuk massive popularity in Asia. And their reel romance turned real when the two later on confirmed to be in a romantic relationship.
Unfortunately, several months after admitting the real score between them, they called it quits.

From a high school student to becoming sporty chic, Lee Sung Kyung returned to the small screen with a challenging role in the medical romance K-drama "Dr. Romantic 2." She magnificently portrayed the character of a cardiothoracic surgeon, Cha Eun Jae.
Here, the actress worked with some of today's top-notch actors, Han Seok Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Ju Han, Jin Kyung, and Kim Min Jae, and more.
'Shooting Stars'
In 2020, she made a special appearance in the tvN series "Record of Youth." Two years later, Lee Sung Kyung officially returned to acting with her now ongoing K-drama "Shooting Stars."
She plays the character of a PR head Oh Han Byeol at Starforce Entertainment. She maintains the reputation of the stars and handles all the issues being thrown to their artists, especially to top star Gong Tae Sung (Kim Young Dae).
