When Soo Jae was admitted to the detention center, Choi Tae Guk was busy solving bigger problems. He stole the USB and major data from Oh Soo Jae. He even obtained the files behind Park So Young's death. All of these were sealed and kept inside his secret room at home.

Meanwhile, Yoon Se Pil (Choi Young Joon), SP Partners' representative visited Soo Jae in prison and gave some insights into her case. He also named potential suspects who ordered Seok Pal to kill Park So Young.

He suspected Choi Tae Guk as the mastermind behind Park So Young's death and might have involvement in Seok Pal's death, too. But they also have a new prospect, thanks to Gong Chan's brothers Ko Soo Hwan (Jo Dal Hwan) and So Hyung Chil (Lee Kyu Sung).

They found out Seok Pal was sending signals indicating "1" and "9" in the suicide note video, which refers to Ha Il Gu, Choi Tae Guk's chief of staff.

With the help of the people around her, Song Mi Rim, the Legal Clinic Squad, and Gong Chan for bringing strong evidence to show she was innocent, the professor won the case and finally got released.
