'Why Her?' Increases Viewers' Immersion to Story

Every week, "Why Her?" offers new twists and heart-fluttering moments between its cast members. Thanks to their performance, combined with the compelling storyline, the series remains superior as it is named the most-watched K-drama that occupies Friday and Saturday slots.

In a report released by Nielsen Korea on June 25, the ongoing mystery-romance drama finished its first half broadcast and was able to record an average rating score of 9.2 percent with episode 8. Meanwhile "Why Her?" episode 7 recorded 8.7 percent nationwide.

Furthermore, "Why Her?" consistently remains the most-watched drama every Saturday among viewers ages 20-49.

"Why Her?" continues to receive enthusiastic reviews from the audience. The chemistry between lead stars Seo Hyun Jin and Hwang In Yeop also captivates viewers.

'Why Her?' Competitors 'Doctor Lawyer,' 'Alchemy of Souls' New Rating Records

Meanwhile, tvN's newly released fantasy-romance series "Alchemy of Souls," which kicked off with a promising rating, saw a slight decrease in viewership rating during episode 3, earning an average rating of 5.3 percent nationwide.

However, despite the decrease, the new drama remains first in its time slot across all cable channels.

New court series "Doctor Lawyer," starring So Ji Sub and Im Soo Hyang, which airs in the same time slot as Seo Hyun Jin's drama "Why Her?," failed to gain high ratings during the latest episode, which received 5.4 percent nationwide.

The KBS family drama "It's Beautiful Now" continues its perfect streak as the most-watched series every Saturday and always finishes the week strong with double-digit ratings. Its latest episode has an average rating of 21.7 percent.

JTBC's "Cleaning Up," which stars Jeon So Min, Yum Jung Ah, and Kim Jae Hwa, finished this week's episode with 2 percent.

Lastly, TV Chosun's "Becoming Witch" recorded an average rating of 3.4 percent nationwide.

'Why Her?' Episode 8 Highlights

"Why Her?" is currently halfway through. As the story progresses, more secrets are about to be revealed.

In "Why Her?" episode 8, Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), who was falsely accused of abiding Park So Young and Hong Seok Pal's suicide, is proven innocent. This is thanks to Gong Chan (Hwang In Yeop) and the Legal Clinic team's intensive investigation to help in the trial of Soo Jae.

Now that the lawyer is already out of jail, she is more dedicated to naming the individuals who are involved in Park So Young and Seok Pal's demise.

According to Yoon Se Pil (Choi Young Joon), two of the potential masterminds behind the incident were Choi Tae Guk (Heo Jun Ho) and his chief of staff, Ha Il Ku (Jeon Jin Ki).
