Interestingly, in the forthcoming MBC series, he will be teamed up with Girls' Generation's YoonA.
Lee Jong Suk on Saying Yes to Play Park Chang Ho in 'Big Mouth'
As obtained by a news portal, the 32-year-old star shared why he decided to join the cast and portray the character of Park Chang Ho.
During the interview, Lee Jong Suk spoke highly of director Oh Choong Hwan, who also helped several blockbuster K-dramas like "My Love from the Star," "Doctors," "While You Were Sleeping," "Hotel del Luna," and "Start-Up."
According to the actor, his "trust and friendship" with the director made him say yes to joining "Big Mouth. He revealed, "He [the director] said we should have fun working together like before, so I decided to join the cast."
To recall, Lee Jong Suk first worked with director Oh Choong Hwan in the 2017 romance fantasy K-drama "While You Were Sleeping" alongside Bae Suzy and Jung Hae In.
Interestingly, after five years the actor and director were reunited for the MBC series "Big Mouth."

In the upcoming K-drama, Lee Jong Suk becomes a third-rate lawyer Park Chang Ho who unexpectedly becomes a conman after a shocking incident.
"Big Mouth" will also feature his on-screen chemistry with Girls' Generation's YoonA as they portray a young couple.
As the interview continues, Lee Jong Suk describes his role and how the series will depict his character transformation in the middle of the story.
"The irony of an ordinary lawyer being suspected of being a genius con artist was fascinating," he said, hinting that viewers would see the other side of him as an actor through his new K-drama.
"I thought I would be able to show a new side of myself through the character Park Chang-ho, who goes back and forth between good and evil to survive," he explained.

Despite being a lawyer, Park Chang Ho has a 10 percent success rate and often gets pushed around by his clients. Others even point out that he is someone who has no skills but is a big talker.
However, due to an unexpected incident becomes a notorious conman who goes by the alias "Big Mouse."
Lee Jong Suk also talks about the characters in the upcoming K-drama. He said that "various characters are intricately intertwined and are "hidden behind the raging events."
YoonA and Lee Jong Suk's new drama "Big Mouth" is slated to air on July 29 via BC every Friday and Saturday.
