Kim Hee Sun's new drama "Remarriage and Desires" achieved a successful premiere after the series made it to Netflix's global top 10 TV shows.
The eight-part episode series made it's debut on July 15 and immediately captivated the viewers' attention with the drama's unique plot.
'Remarriage and Desires' Land on Netflix's Top 10 TV Shows Worldwide
"Remarriage and Desires" joins Park Eun Bin's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" in the daily rankings, alongside other most-watched TV Shows on Netflix.
According to Flix Patrol, a streaming data aggregator platform, Kim Hee Sun's new drama lands in the eighth spot with an overall 134 points while "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" slid to the seventh spot on July 17.
Interestingly, the two are the only K-content that made it to the global chart.
Is 'Remarriage and Desires' Worth the Hype?
Directed by Kim Jung Min of "Bad Guys," "Love Affairs in the Afternoon," and "Secret Royal Inspector," alongside screenwriter Lee Geun Young, the new Netflix series follows the story of a widow and a single mother, who want revenge against her husband's mistress.
The drama unfolds with Seo Hye Seung's life, played by Kim Hee Sun, who, despite having a successful husband and an influential mother, wants to have a simple life.

She teaches in high school and is well-loved by her students. Meanwhile, her husband Kang Nam Sik (Kwon Hyuk) was appointed as a director of their company.
However, their lives changed after Kang Nam Sik fell for a woman named Jin Yoo Hee, whom he met at their office. He was seduced by her charm and alluring beauty and decides to leave Seo Hye Seung with the thought that Jin Yoo Hee's love was genuine.
Little did he know that she used him to cover up her illegal activities at the company. On top of it, he was accused of embezzlement and for raping Jin Yoo Hee.
Kang Nam Sik's career and life were crushed right before his eyes because of one woman who decided to end his life.
Sensing that her husband didn't die of suicide, Seo Hye Seung becomes the revenge-driven woman who vows to avenge the death of Kang Nam Sik and to get her life back.
She reunites with her husband's mistress at Rex, an elite matchmaking agency, run by Choi Yoo Sun (Cha Ji Yeon). It caters to exclusive clients both men and women who want to marry and becomes one of the highest echelons of society.
It is a mix of Seo Ye Ji's "Eve," the blockbuster Kdrama "The Penthouse" and "Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)" as it features the drama in marriage and power.
Joining Kim Hee Sun, Cha Ji Yeon, and Jung Eugene as lead stars are Lee Yun Wook and Park Hoon.
