'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 11: Jang Uk Loses His Will To Become the Greatest Mage in Daeho

After Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) and Mu Deok (Jung So Min) successfully push through their biggest ordel, they reunite in Songrim and profess their true feelings for one another.

However, Jang Uk misinterprets Mu Deok and goes about his day while being under the impression that the woman he loves is in love with his friend Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun).

In particular, Seo Yul also feels the urge to confess that he knows everything about Mu Deok and her real identity.

The two have a real connection despite Naksu being in Mu Deok's body. Because Jang Uk sees the way they stare at each other, he grows jealous over Seo Yul.

He then wallows in sadness and loses his will to train, much to Mu Deok's disappointment.

Jin Mu Plans To Take Over the World With the Power of Ice Stone

Previously, it was revealed that Mu Deok is the missing daughter of Jinyowon. For 10 long years, the Jin family combed the country to find their blind daughter.

In hopes to take over Jinyowon, Jin Mu (Jo Jae Yoon) plans to look for a blind girl who could act as Jin Bu Yeon and win the heart of the clan leader.

With this, Jin Mu would acquire the power of being the leader and reintroduce the power of ice stone, a crystal that is the key ingredient to create the soul ejector.

Jin Mu wishes to become powerful and immortal through the soul ejector, avoiding death by switching bodies after bodies through his immense power.

With that said, Mu Deok's real friend So Yi (Seo Hye Won), who has her eye patch with Jin's emblem, becomes Jin Mu's mole to infiltrate Jinyowon.

Mu Deok and Daredevil's Bet

To get Jang Uk back on his feet, Mu Deok sacrifices her jade crystal that was given to her by the former and makes a bet with the Crown Prince.

Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho) believes that Jang Uk is the weakest link among all mages in Songrim. Mu Deok, on the other hand, wants him to become stronger.

Because of this, she challenges the Crown Prince on a bet: if Jang Uk defeats the strongest mages in Songrim, the Go Won must apologize for underestimating Jang Uk.

However, if Jang Uk loses 10 times, Go Won will acquire Mu Deok's jade, which she describes as "the most important thing she received in her entire life."

At the end of episode 11, Jang Uk tries to succeed, fighting the strongest mages in Songrim despite his exhaustion.
