'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 16: Daeho's Modern Day Romeo and Juliet
In episode 16 of "Alchemy of Souls," the Jin family pays Songrim a visit. The Jinyowon leader demands to bring back Gwigu, the dog that can sense evil spirits and sorcery.
Because of the wrath that surrounds the two families, Park Dang Gu (Yoo In Soo) and Jin Cho Yeon (Oh My Girl Arin) confess that they are in love.
The leaders of Jinyowon and Songrim express their dismay as Park Dang Gu is meant to be the next leader of Songrim while Jin Cho Yeon will be married off to the Crown Prince.
Park Dang Gu and Jin Cho Yeon then elope, finding shelter in Jang Uk's (Lee Jae Wook) home.
Meanwhile, Master Lee (Im Chul Soo) returns Naksu's sword to Jang Uk and Mu Deok (Jung So Min), warning them not to make any drastic decision or everyone's lives will be put in danger.
Crown Prince Go Won's Suspicions Intensify
Previously, Master Lee revealed that the royal palace is filled with soul shifters. Because the royal queen refused to accept Gwigu, the Songrim mages couldn't do anything to protect the royal family.
However, Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho) becomes suspicious about the true identity of the royal queen, after her outburst and series of weird mannerisms.
Go Won then goes to Gaenam Village to look for the missing eunuch, a soul shifter, who works for the queen.

After 10 years, she comes back unscathed. Little does she know, Jin Bu Yeon is actually So Yi (Seo Hye Won), a swindler who feigns to be blind.
Unfortunately, So Yi is able to open the door to Jinyowon, which only Jin priestesses can do. The Jin clan is oblivious that Mu Deok, who's at the Jin abode, is actually their missing daughter.
