Netflix confirms the release date of the highly anticipated team-up between Park Hae Soo, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Hwang Jung Min for "Narco Saints." The streaming giant took to Instagram to officially announce the premiere of the six-episode series.

As cited by Netflix, "Narco Saints" (also known as "Suriname") is scheduled to be released on September 9, just in time for the first day of Chuseok holiday.

In addition, the streaming giant also unveiled its official poster hinting how intense the upcoming series will be.

Helmed by Director Yoon Jong Bin of "The Spy Gone North," "Kundo: Age of the Rampant," and "Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time," the upcoming action crime K-drama is based on a true story and revolves around a man who undertakes the secret mission of the National Intelligence Service.

Meet the 'Narco Saints' Cast

Joining Hwang Jung Min, Park Hae Soo, and Yoo Yeon Seok are Jo Woo Jin and Ha Jung Woo, who will be the main characters.

Ha Jung Woo takes on the role of Kang In Goo, a hopeful entrepreneur who started a business in Suriname but ended up being intertwined in illegal drugs.

He will be connected to Jeon Yo Hwan, played by Hwang Jung Min, the drug king controlling Suriname.

"Narco Saints" will be Hwang Jung Min's comeback to the small screen after headlining the 2020 novel-based series "Hush" with Girls' Generation's YoonA.

Interestingly, joining the six-episode crime-action series is Park Hae Soo, who took the character of Choi Chang Ho.

In the upcoming K-drama, he is the team leader of the U.S National Intelligence Service and the person who connected Kang In Goo to their plan in hopes of taking down Jeon Yo Hwan.

Park Hae Soo is best known for his role in "Squid Game" as the antagonist Cho Sang Woo, a.k.a player no. 218 and as Berlin in "Money Heist Korea."

Joining the star-studded cast is Jo Woo Jin as Byun Gi Tae, who was born in South Korea but raised in China. He is also Hwang Jung Min's right hand and the person who does the dirty work.

Lastly, Yoo Yeon Seok will transform into a lawyer named David Park and would be working alongside Jeon Yo Hwan, acting as the brains behind the syndicate.

"Narco Saints" is his comeback K-drama after the megahit medical K-drama "Hospital Playlist," where he played pediatric surgeon Ahn Jung Won.

Interestingly, apart from the lead stars, viewers will also get to see Taiwanese actor Chang Chen and "Green Mothers Club" star Chu Ja Hyun.
