The stars of hit film, “Fast and Furious,” are supposed to resume filming on Monday, Dec. 9. They were on a break at the time of Paul Walker’s death on Nov. 30. Now the big question is, will they go back to the set as scheduled?
The seventh franchise of the “Fast and Furious” box office hit is filming in Atlanta but the stars were on a break for Thanksgiving when Walker died in a fiery car crash over the weekend.
They were expected to continue filming on Monday but following the death of the 40-year old star, it is uncertain whether or not the film producers will make the call.
There have been speculations that filming will be delayed. And fans and critics are keen on the film’s future. The world has learned to love the action-packed, “carr-savvy” franchise as Fox News described it.
The news outlet also noted that the film director, James Wan and its producer, Neal Mortiz held a conference call to discuss the future plans for the film. “Fast and the Furious” is said to be Universal’s $2.3 billion worldwide.
A film insider was quoted by Fox News explaining what the producers may do following Paul Walker’s death.
“Everyone is playing cards close to the chest, but my guess is that they’ll powwow on with it,” the insider said, according to Fox News.
“Fast and Furious 7” has British actor Jason Statham as an additional character in the film. He plays brother of Luke Evan’s character in the last film, “Fast and Furious 6.”
Following Walker’s death, questions have been raised as to how the producers will write-off his character as Brian O’Connor.
The world mourns with Walker’s untimely demise. He died on a fiery car crash while on red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with friend, Roger Rodas. The red Porsche crashed and burned into a tree and a light pole in Santa Clarita, California.
