Amid the ongoing craze of "Squid Game," Netflix announced that they are looking for more participants to join the reality version of the K-drama.
"Squid Game: The Challenge" is a real-life show based on the Korean hit series where 456 players will enter the game in hopes of winning a life-changing cash prize of $4.56 million.
Netflix Announces Final Casting Call for 'Squid Game: The Challenge'
Interestingly, the streaming giant made a recent announcement through YouTube, notifying the public about the updates of the show.
Exactly one year since the Hwang Dong Hyuk K-drama made its global release, Netflix posted the final casting call for the reality version of the series.
In a 47-second clip, the streaming giant says that they are recruiting the last participants for "Squid Game: The Challenge."
Based on the casting's official website, there are three categories which include the U.S, the U.K, and global casting, meaning that the upcoming show will cater to participants around the world.
In addition, the site says that "the Front Man is in search of English-language speakers from any part of the world."
'Squid Game: The Challenge' Release Date and What We Know So Far
Dubbed as "Netflix's biggest ever social experiment" the platform officially announced, back in June 2022, that they will have the real-life version of "Squid Game."
The "supersized unscripted show turns the scripted world of the drama into reality" where real-life players will be deeply involved in the "iconic Squid Game universe and will never know what's coming next."
Along with the heart-stopping activities, alliances, and strategies they have to successfully win every task to become the sole survivor and walk away with a "life-changing cash prize."

As obtained by Indiewire, Netflix VP of unscripted and documentary series, Brandon Riegg, says that they are "grateful" for the support of the "Squid Game" director as they "turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,"
Hinting at what to expect from the forthcoming reality tv show, the Netflix official said, "Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever" noting the tension, twists, and the "biggest ever cash prize at the end."
From Biggest Launch Yet to Reality Show and Upcoming Season 2
Following the massive response of the public, Netflix and director Hwang Dong Hyuk confirmed that "Squid Game" is getting renewed for season 2.
In a special message, the director expressed his gratitude to viewers and fans who supported the show.
In addition, he also hints at the characters who will reprise their roles. It includes Seong Gi Hoon, played by Lee Jung Jae, and the Frontman played by Lee Byung Hun.
Furthermore, the director also says that the salesman at the train station, played by Gong Yoo, might appear in the second season.
