During his appearance at London East Asia Film Festival 2022 the actor spoke about the difference between the response he got before and after the Netflix series aired.

"I'm much more recognized this time compared to the last time I was in London. Everyone is talking to me about 'Squid Game'" he said.

Interestingly, to communicate better with his global fans, Lee Jung Hae said that he is improving his English skills, this is not only for fans but also for his upcoming Hollywood project.
