The titular role is played by Kim Go Eun who is in search of genuine love.

On her interesting and colorful love journey, she meets Go Woong, played by Ahn Bo Hyun, and her officemate Yoo Bobby, portrayed by GOT7's Jinyoung.

While "Yumi's cells 2" wrapped up the season successfully, the broadcast network and officials are tight-lipped on whether season 3 will be released anytime soon.
However, the screenwriter previously mentioned that the webtoon-based series will return with multiple seasons.
Meanwhile, months after season 2 ended, the production team spoke about the question regarding the highly anticipated season.
In a report, the official said that they are "thankful that viewers have expectations for season 3 as much as they have loved seasons 1 and 2," however, the team " needs to take a break first" before discussing possibilities of season 3.
