2022 offered many well-written Korean dramas starting from January until December. And with these various series released this year, 12 of them fought for their spots as the most buzzworthy K-dramas that viewers enjoyed watching and love talking about on different social media platforms.

1. 'Our Beloved Summer'
Based on the record provided by Good Data Corp. "Our Beloved Summer" starring Choi Woo Sik and Kim Da Mi was the most talked about K-drama in the whole month of January.
This SBS series shares the story of Choi Ung and Kook Yeon Su. Two teenage lovers reunite again after a decade when a documentary they filmed in high school goes viral.
2. 'Twenty Five, Twenty One'
Indeed a well-written script that offered a variety of genres from romance, comedy, friendship, and drama. "Twenty Five, Twenty One," tells the love story between Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri), a promising fencer, and Baek Ye Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk). It also highlights the journey of five young people confused between friendship and love during their growing years.
3. 'Business Proposal'
This webtoon-based series saved the fans and viewers in the first half of 2022. With its short but interesting plot, there's no question of why it remained the most buzzworthy drama for almost four consecutive weeks.

Starring Kim Sejeong, Ahn Hyo Seop, Seol In Ah, and Kim Min Gyu, this series foretells the story of Shin Ha Ri, an ordinary employee who accepts to go on a blind date in place of her friend, but too late when she finds out her date is her boss.
4. 'Bulgasal: Immortal Souls'
This fantasy series features the story of Dan Hwal (Lee Jae Wook), a human 600 years ago. While he was carrying out a mission as a military officer to erase the memories of the former dynasty, he became immortal. His fate is entwined with Min Sang Un (Kwon Nara), a mysterious creature who has been through multiple reincarnations.
5. 'My Liberation Notes'
It was the most talked about drama in the entire month of May. This depicts the unremarkable life of three siblings-Yeom Chang Hee (Lee Min Ki), Yeom Mi Jeong (Kim Ji Won), and Yeom Gi Jeong (Lee El), and a mysterious man Mr. Gu (Son Seok Koo).
6. 'Our Blues'
One of tvN's realistic dramas revolves its story around the sweet and bitter lives of people at the end, climax, and beginning of life. It depicts their stories in an omnibus format in the backdrop of Jeju Island. Thanks to its realistic stories and talented ensemble, the drama was able to be on the top spot as the most buzzworthy series for weeks.
7. 'Alchemy of Souls'
"Alchemy of Souls" Season 1 was a huge hit and even broke its rating records every week. Due to its popularity, the series remained unbeatable at the top spot for most buzzworthy K-drama from June to August. Now that it made a return to primetime for its book 2, the fantasy-romance series is still popular among viewers.
8. 'One Dollar Lawyer'
Though it became a controversial drama due to its production, Namgoong Min and Kim Ji Eun's series was able to fight for their spot and ranked first as the most talked about drama during its run beginning in September.
It features the story of a lawyer, who has all the skill set but only charges 1000 won as his attorney's fee.
9. 'Little Women'
Three sisters, Oh In Joo (Kim Go Eun), Oh In Kyung (Nam Ji Hyun), and Oh In Hye (Park Ji Hu)-get involved in a case that leads them to fight against the wealthiest and most influential family in Korea. Thanks to its nerve-wracking storyline, the viewers were glued to their screens watching this drama from the beginning until the last episode.
10. 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'
One of the most successful dramas to ever be produced this 2022. Starring Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh. Due to its explosive popularity, the legal series and its cast members broke records as the most buzzworthy drama and actors during its whole run. It follows the journey of an autistic lawyer, facing legal battles and overcoming injustices in society.
11. 'Under the Queen's Umbrella'
Veteran actress Kim Hye Soo made a return to the small screen through this drama and was indeed a success. She played Queen Hwaryeong, she is supposed to act with grace and dignity, but due to her sons who are troublemaker princes, she gives up on those protocols and struggles to discipline her sons to become eligible princes through education.
12. 'Reborn Rich'
A newly concluded revenge drama starring Song Joong Ki, Shin Hyun Bin, and Lee Sung Min, "Reborn Rich" already captivated the viewers during the first pilot week with its spellbinding storyline. Song Joong Ki's power never disappoints. Apart from maintaining his spot at no.1, the drama itself broke the record in JTBC's history, which has the highest viewership rating, beating its 2020 series "The World of the Married."
