After kicking off with a promising start, Park Hung Sik and Jeon So Nee's historical K-drama encounters a minimal decline in rating.
According to Neilsen Korea, "Our Blooming Youth" episode 2 garnered an average nationwide rating of 3.6 percent. It is a minor decrease from its pilot episode of 4.219 percent.

The episode continues with Crown Prince Yi Hwan aiming an arrow at Han Sung On.
The Crown Prince requested his right hand to conduct an investigation to see who among his officials plans to betray him.

On the other hand, Mi Jae Yi tells the Crown Prince that it is a trick used by shamans to extort money from wealthy people.
Furious at what he found out, he ordered his men to another round of investigation to see who among the officials is planning to ruin him.
As for Jo Won Bo, he tells one of his men that he was the one who planned the bleeding rick against the royal as he wanted to frighten him and would not continue with his plans.
In the last part of "Our Blooming Youth" episode 2, the Crown Prince gave Min Jae Yi passes to go out of the palace.
However, she was angered by the royal's action after he expressed that he will not help her with her plans of finding out the person behind the death of her family as well as clearing her name.
Min Jae Yi calls him cold and arrogant and blames him for the death of her family.
That is because his father tried to protect the Crown Prince even if it means his death.
