"Taxi Driver 2" wrapped up the season on April 15, but Lee Je Hoon's drama continues to prove its popularity by reigning in the TV show rankings.

In a report cited by a media outlet, Gallup Korea released the results of its survey of South Koreans favorite broadcasting show programs. The analysis was conducted from April 17 to 20, on 1,003 individuals aged 18 and above.

With this, participants had to choose which of the series made a significant mark.

'Taxi Driver 2' Voted as Korea's Favorite TV Series

Following the huge success of the action crime drama, the production team confirms "Taxi Driver" season 3. The surprising announcement was made public as soon as the show aired its second season's finale.

According to a news portal, the third installment is already in the works; however, the cast lineup and target release date are yet to be decided.

"We plan to start discussions with the actors, writer, and director from now on," as shared by the production team's representative.

While viewers are looking forward to the return of the original cast members, Lee Je Hoon teased viewers, saying that he is hopeful about the return of Kim Do Hi in season 3.

To recall, season 1 included Lee Je Hoon as the beloved Kim Do Gi, while Kim Eui Sung played Rainbow Taxi boss Chairman Jang.

Joining the secret organization is Pyo Ye Jin as the tech wizard and resident hacker Ahn Go Eun, and mechanics Mr. Choi and Mr. Park, played by Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram.

In season 1, Esom played the role of prosecutor Kang Ha Na, but she has decided not to join season 2 due to a schedule conflict.

While the original cast members reprised their roles in season 2, the sequel featured a new villain through Shin Jae Ha's character, On Ha Joon.
