Authorities are planning to consider filing a warrant of arrest after Yoo Ah In fails to attend the second investigation regarding the actor's drug case.
Since the start of the year, the award-winning star has been facing issues with illegal substances after testing positive for four types of drugs.
As the probe continues, police are taking additional measures regarding the pending investigations.
Yoo Ah In Might Face 'Warrant of Arrest' After Failing to Attend Second Private Summon Twice
In a report cited by a media outlet, the "Seoul Vibe" star missed the second private summons that was initially scheduled for May 11.
Unfortunately, it was the actor's second time skipping the trial. The first was on the same day as his first hearing after reports mentioned that Yoo Ah In arrived at the nearby Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Mapo Building but opted to avoid the scheduled meeting due to the media.
At the time, the actor reportedly noticed a flock of reporters waiting for his arrival, noting that he felt overwhelmed after seeing "too many reporters" waiting for him. It was rescheduled to a later date, but Yoo Ah In once again skipped the hearing.
Due to this, the police department's investigation division wanted to plot the date of the second private summons as soon as possible to avoid delays regarding Yoo Ah In's drug investigation charges.
In the event that the award-winning star fails to cooperate, authorities have no choice but to issue a warrant of arrest.
"If that doesn't work out, then it will have to be done by [arresting him with an official warrant]," a representative mentioned, as cited by an outlet.

Since February, the award-winning South Korean star is facing drug charges after finding out that he is positive for propofil, marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine.
In addition, there were also reports saying that Yoo Ah In is also using a fifth drug known as Zolpidem. According to a medical website, zolpidem is a type of drug used to treat severe or possibly life-threatening cases of insomnia.
