K-drama leading man Cha Eun Woo officially made his small screen comeback with "A Good Day to Be a Dog." However, it received mixed reactions from K-Netz as it shockingly recorded low ratings.
'A Good Day to Be a Dog' Struggles to Have High Ratings Since Debut
The long wait was finally over as one of the hottest South Korean leading men, Cha Eun Woo graced the primetime with his new series "A Good Day to Be a Dog" alongside Park Gyu Young and Lee Hyun Woo.
The fantasy-romance drama which is adapted from a webtoon follows the story of a woman who is cursed to transform into a dog when she kisses someone and a man who is the only key to breaking the curse but is afraid of dogs due to his past trauma.
Despite starring brilliant stars and the unique narrative of the series, it struggles to have high ratings.
A post titled "A Good Day To Be A Dog" Viewership Rating became a hot topic in an open forum online on October 19.
The owner of the post uploaded the viewership ratings for the K-Drama's first three episodes. Cha Eun Woo's series has floundered in its pilot episodes and has yet to pass a 3 percent viewership rating.
K-Netz Express Disappointments About Cha Eun Woo & Park Gyu Young's K-Drama
Seeing the results, K-netizens shared their mixed reactions. Some were critical of the drama, while others stated that they were shocked by the low ratings.
"I am enjoying the series, but I am disappointed that only one episode airs per week. Cha Eun Woo's acting is not that bad either."
"I don't know anyone in the cast except Cha Eun Woo, and the female lead is not that charming."
"I am watching it but turned off by the female lead's hair color and styling."
"The two main characters have no chemistry."
"I hope they will play the episodes back-to-back like a 12-episode series."
Meanwhile, you can watch Cha Eun Woo, Park Gyu Young, and Lee Hyun Woo every Wednesday on Viu. Since the drama only releases one episode per week, "A Good Day to Be a Dog" is expected to finish its run in January 2024.
