"Marry My Husband" took things to the next level as the tvN series introduced a new character through BoA.
The webtoon-based K-drama, which stars Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, and Song Ha Yoon, delivered a surprising twist to viewers.
With only a few episodes until the much-awaited finale, "Marry My Husband" showcases BoA's character as Oh Yoo Ra, Yoo Ji Hyuk's former fiancee.
BoA Introduced as Na In Woo's Ex-Fiancee
In "Marry My Husband" Episode 11, Kang Ji Won (Park Min Young) and Yoo Ji Hyuk (Na In Woo) took their relationship to the next level.
However, the newfound romance was cut short because of the arrival of Yoo Ra. She confidently introduced herself as Yoo Ji Hyuk's fiancee, and confronted Kang Ji Won about their past.
In the latter part of Episode 11, she told Kang Ji Won:
"I'm Yoo Ji Hyuk's fiancée. Or, should I say, ex-fiancée? He one-sidedly broke it off with me. I never heard it was because of another woman, though."
Teasing viewers with what to expect in the following episode, Kang Ji Won faces an intense encounter as Yoo Ra pointed to Ji Won:
"I hate it when someone touches my things."
Netizens React to the New 'Marry My Husband's' Villain
BoA's K-drama comeback garners various reactions from viewers. With her character becoming the drama's new villain, fans are having a love-hate relationship with Yoo Ra.
Some said she is perfect for the role that they feel hatred towards her character.
On top of it, BoA's appearance caused a major boost in viewership as the tvN weekday K-drama aired its 11th episode. In a report, Nielsen Korea recoded an average nationwide viewership rating of 11.8 percent.
The revenge K-drama saw a 1.1 percent increase from its previous episode.
Meanwhile, viewers will get to see BoA's antagonist character through Prime Video and TVING.
To recall, her appearance in "Marry My Husband" is her K-drama comeback after 7 years.
BoA's last series was starring in the 2018 rom-com "My Wife's Having an Affair This Week" together with the late Lee Sun Kyun as well as Ye Ji Won and Kim Hee Won.
