Lee Ji Ah's new legal drama "Queen of Divorce" caught the viewers off guard when the romantic comedy series took a darker turn and made every audience weep their heart out.
Within two weeks of broadcast, the show has delivered heartwarming stories that unveiled characters' stories and personal struggles that brought some tears.

1. When Kim Sa Ra failed to see her son
In the pilot episode of "Queen of Divorce," Kim Sa Ra (Lee Ji Ah) lost her son's custody to her ex-husband No Yul Seong (Oh Min Seok).
It's been two years since she last met him, creating an aching bump in the viewers' hearts. Due to her desperation, she resorts to seeking help from a private detective.
Sadly, she fails to see her son after her ex-husband's staff threatens to call the police. She can't even hug her son even when he's only a few steps away from her.
What's worse is that her son couldn't even hear her voice when she screams his name due to the headphones on his ears.
2. Kim Sa Ra's reason in marrying No Yul Seong
In the first week, it's revealed that Kim Sa Ra and her new colleague Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young) were ex-lovers.
They originally decided to run away and elope on the night of her wedding. The latter even waited for her at the airport. However, things didn't happen according to plan.
Kim Sa Ra was never happy about the decision she made but because she got accidentally pregnant after being sexually assaulted by her ex-husband.
3. Kwon Dae Gi's brother's betrayal
In the latest episode, fans were able to see the heart-shattering story of Kwon Dae Gi (Lee Tae Gu), the goofy guy in the drama.
When he was running for the criminal in episode 4, he stops right on his tracks as if he's seeing a ghost. It turns out that the criminal is no other than his brother who left him in the hospital to die alone.
This revelation brought viewers to tears. With this, fans are looking forward (and preparing themselves!) for more tear jerking moments in "Queen of Divorce."
On the other hand, the drama tells the story of a reputable divorce lawyer who saves victims from "bad spouses" and unhappy marriages. Catch it every Wednesday and Thursday at 8:50 p.m. KST on JTBC.
