'Captivating the King' Episode 13: Kang Hee Soo's Secret Gets Revealed

Kang Hee Soo (Shin Se Kyung) confuses Lee In (Jo Jung Suk) about the real reason behind their meeting involving the king's assassination plan.

Lee In also interrogates her about why she returned to the palace three years after she left. Just then, Chu Dal Ha (Na Hyun Woo) launches a knife at him.

Sadly, Kang Hee Soo gets stabbed and bleeds in Lee In's arms. Joo Sang Hwa (Kang Hong Seok) immediately locks up Kang Hee Soo's assistant.

He finds out that Kang Hee Soo is a woman disguised as Kang Mong Woo, the king's Go playmate. Joo Sang Hwa then tells Lee In that she must be imprisoned for treason.

Will Kang Hee Soo Get Punished For Lying?

The royal physician along with his assistant ran, thinking that something had happened to the king. They then summon the inspector general and learn about the plan.

Everyone gets shocked after the inspector general reveals that Kang Hee Soo is Kang Sang Hoon's (Son Hyun Joo) daughter. He was Lee In's master who betrayed the late king.

This clarifies everything for Lee In and Joo Sang Hwa. They understand why Kang Hee Soo would want Lee In dead. Meanwhile, at the palace, the officials are looking for a new queen.

Lee In's Secrets Get Unearthed

The court lady, who the queen previously persuaded to become the king's concubine, learns the truth about Kang Hee Soo's real identity.

She reveals that she overheard the principal director and the king's conversation. The king then meets Chu Dal Ha and prepares a plan to bring down the principal director.

It is revealed that he's the one who sent Chu Dal Ha as a spy so that the late king would have been executed, allowing Lee In to ascend to the throne.
