The court lady then starts puking blood, sending the king to panic. Before she finally dies, she reveals that she loves him more than her life, and that someone had ordered her to kill him.
Sadly, the court lady fails to reveal the name of the man behind it all. Later on, Lee In barges into the queen's quarters and demands an answer regarding his late brother's death.
He still receives no answer but Lee In is now certain that the queen and the principal director connived to kill his brother, and him as well.
Kang Hee Soo Gets Summoned By the Queen
Lee In holds an interrogation to make Park Jong Hwan (Lee Gyu Hoe) pay for his sins. He is then tortured until he confesses but he continues to endure the hits all day and night.
After a sincere conversation with Park Jong Hwan, a confession is finally received. However, Lee In struggles to come up with a punishment for him due to their familial connection.
The king decides that he must experience the same death that his father faced before, giving Park Jong Hwan poison. Lee In watches him die slowly as the poison enters his body.
