On March 2, ahead of the much anticipated finale of "Captivating the King," lead actors Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung shared their affection for their beloved supporters.
Through the production team of the tvN series, Jo Jung Suk, who transformed into a cold-blooded king, thanked the public for the great reception that the show enjoyed.
"I experienced all four seasons while filming "Captivating the King" with my team," Jo Jung Suk revealed. "Thank you to everyone who struggled in the cold and heat with me."
He added, "It was an honor working with a great director and writer. In addition to that, I thank every viewer who tuned in to the story from beginning until the end."
Shin Se Kyung, who showcased her improved acting as a cross-dressing woman with a vengeance-filled heart, said, "I'm truly grateful for those who loved, laughed and cried together with me through the love story of Kang Hee Soo and Lee In."
The actress hoped that "Captivating the King" will be remembered as one of the most loved and highly rated historical romances of the year despite 2024 having just begun.

Jo Jung Suk raised the tension for the drama's finale after revealing that his memorable scene was the ending.
He said, "The final episode was the most memorable for me. The scene was captured so beautifully despite the cold wind blowing in our direction."
Meanwhile, Shin Se Kyung chose her character's return to the palace after three years of hiding as her most unforgettable scene in the show.
"It was the reunion scene between Kang Hee Soo and Lee In that ignited their deep feelings for one another," she reasoned. "That's why it's the most memorable for me."
On the other hand, the love line and character developments between their characters are the main key to anticipate from the finale, according to the two actors.
